A sizeable percentage of poor students in Maharashtra face serious difficulties in going to school. About 1300 schools have been shut down. As per the last National Achievement Survey (NAS), almost 18% of school-going children of class- III to class- VIII of government and its aided schools are affected. In remote areas, children have to walk several kilometers to attend school. We at are making every effort to make basic education available to every Tribal & poor child in Purandar, Taluka Saswad, Pune. We have hostel for50 children along with schooling in Purandar. Basic facilities are freely extended to the underprivileged children of the nearby villages. It is an ongoing activity and we plan to increase it to 300 in next 3 years.

The project is aimed at equipping and setting up a tribal boarding school for tribal children at Narayanpur in the Purandar district of Maharashtra. Children from tribal provinces of Maharashtra come to school to study. The children studying in this school are the tribes of Katkari, kokana, kolam, Thakar, Mahadev Koli, Bhilla, Dhangar all of whom are wise.
